Heritage

Switzerland has been a financial centre for centuries, built on stability, discretion, and a deep professional standard. From banking and insurance through asset management, alternatives, and pension provision, the country has long combined tradition with the precision and trust that institutional capital requires.
Switzerland is also a centre of financial innovation. Swiss institutions have been pioneers in private banking, alternative investments, hedge fund infrastructure, catastrophe modelling and insurance-linked securities, sustainable finance, and, more recently, in fintech, blockchain, and digital-asset regulation. Innovation in Switzerland tends to happen quietly and tends to set the standard.
Above all, Switzerland is home to some of the world's largest institutional capital allocators. Roughly 1,300 pension funds manage more than CHF 1.2 trillion in retirement assets. Insurance companies hold around CHF 526 billion in capital investments. Together they form one of the most concentrated pools of long-term, regulated capital anywhere in the world.

Our focus

Swiss Institutional is the platform built for that heritage. Our standard is straightforward: subject-matter depth, independence, and Swiss quality.
We advance critical decision-making across strategy, manager selection, and technology by fostering connections, sharing knowledge, and delivering solutions that create tangible value for institutions, their beneficiaries, and future generations.

Our programmes

Our flagship event is the annual Swiss Institutional Summit, complemented by the Longevity Finance Forum and recurring roundtables. Around these events, we publish research notes, interviews, whitepapers, and post-event reports.

Art of Investing — Investors Dinner. A private dinner during Art Basel, bringing together collectors, allocators, and managers around the intersection of capital, taste, and long-term thinking. In its second edition in June 2026.

Swiss Institutional Symposium. The flagship two-day cross-industry gathering for institutional capital. The 2026 edition takes place at the Mandarin Oriental, Zürich, on 9–10 November and covers megatrends across private markets, AI, infrastructure, digitalisation, defense, and longevity. CIO Roundtables. A year-round programme of intimate, off-the-record exchanges among Chief Investment Officers and senior allocators. Format and frequency to be announced.

Longevity Finance Forum. The inaugural edition is planned for 2027. A global gathering for investors deploying capital into longevity science, healthspan technology, and the financial implications of demographic transition.
